Alejairén Crianza 2017. 6-bottle case

The new vintage of the only white wine made by Familia Fernández Rivera at its winery in Campo de Criptana in Castile-La Mancha is now here. A wine with the crispness of white wine and the character of red wine. Without a doubt, a different wine made from Airén, a grape variety native to the region, with the added peculiarity of a 24-month-long ageing process in American oak barrels. An unusual technique in white wine production which makes it the only DO La Mancha white wine aged in barrels. It has been recognised by the Oenological Association of Salamanca as the Best White Wine in Spain and awarded an Honourable Mention for the Best White Wine from La Mancha in 2015, given by the Regulating Council of the DO La Mancha. A white wine beyond description that triumphs within and without the standards for wine.
